And now spring has arrived! Volume Three of Sweet Nothings is finally completed and published. I also created a box set of the three volumes – and isn’t that fun! It requires four separate table of contents with hyperlinks going to the correct place. For someone who is a little bit obsessive and a little bit compulsive, this is really enjoyable.
We still have snow on the ground, but it has begun melting quickly so we should be down to grass soon. A blue jay comes every morning and sits in the tree waiting for some peanuts. Then a lone little deer arrives, looking for some carrots and banana peels. She no longer runs when the door is opened – just looks up and waits for her treats.
I still miss the crows who used to come every day, but haven’t been around for several years. (I blame our neighbor for serving them better treats – lol). One showed up last week and had a few peanuts, but hasn’t been back since. We live in hopes.
I had decided to retire from writing for a while, but got a request from a reader to let her know what had happened to a couple I mentioned in The Marvelous Mistake, but had totally forgotten. (When you write eight romances and forty short romances you forget names and run out of names to use, hoping you aren’t repeating the same ones too often.) So now another story is starting to write itself in my head, so maybe I won’t be hanging up my pen just yet.
Enjoy the spring weather, everyone!
